Spring in a Cottage Rental

Spring in a Cottage Rental

Spring has finally sprung! And you know what that means… time to get busy looking for a spot for the summer for you and the family. Have you ever considered a short term rental with a friend or your spouse to test out the site in advance? Doing a short stay cottage rental in the spring is a great way to unwind, relax and reconnect with nature, and it’s also a great way to see what’s out there far enough in advance of the two week, three week or even month long summer vacation. Traffic is not as crazy. Rates are considerably lower, and often like myself, I give better pricing to returning guests.

There is also another part of spring that I love in the great outdoors… NO BUGS!!! Yes sir! You can dress up a bit warmer as there still might be a nip in the air, and really enjoy that campfire, with no bugs as they haven’t woken up quite yet. You probably will have a tough time swimming Canadian provinces, however, there are quite a few cottages that offer hot tubs as part of their rentals. That would be an amazing experience in April or early May to enjoy a hot tub in the evening, with a nice brandy or glass of wine.

What about the fight for the right spot? Yes, that too hasn’t quite gotten ridiculous yet. Spring rentals have less competitiveness for you and your loved ones. The outdoor experience is different from the summer though it can be equally as enjoyable. Sugar shack in the woods, hay rides, long hikes along the coast… there is still a lot to see and do.

You just need to spring into the idea.
