Ever heard of a B&B?
There is always a time for a bit of country travel. The fall gives way for those weekend jaunts where you and your loved/s decide to take a little drive that leads you to a quaint little town in the hearth of Ontario’s snow belt and picturesque plains. Ever considered a B&B for that weekend romantic getaway?
What’s a B&B? A bed and breakfast is a country home that has been converted to a little inn-style home that allows for overnight guests in their bedrooms and includes a breakfast in the morning.
Yes there’s a cottage rental, and there’s a cottage B&B or country estate B&B. Most are run by proprietors that have purchased large vintage homes in small towns or in rural areas of the province, and spend their time restoring these stately manors to their former glory. It provides you with a walk back in time when horses and carriages were common transport methods, hgh tea was the norm at 4 pm instead of rush hour traffic and people relaxed in the afternoons telling stories by the fire instead of video games.
There are several opportunities to enjoy a Cottage or Victorian B&B in Ontario. In the Kitchener and Guelph areas you will find options for trails and horseback riding. If you search, you can incorporate a nice little B&B style cottage that can be close enough to your horse riding excursion you can have a wonderful weekend away in the area. In the Erin and Caledon area there are lovely little spas and quaint tea rooms where you can both enjoy a bit of pampering and a hearty breakfast before you set off for that countryside drive that will bring you to your next adventure.
B&B rentals are a lot of fun in a slow paced period of time that brings you back to when gentlemen were gentlemen and ladies were ladies. The experience drinking tea form a porcelain cup and snacking on a freshly baked scone makes you appreciate the finer details and the cozy ambiance of a wood-burning fire.
